Formerly owned by Evergreen Cemetery and is often found listed with the address for Evergreen Cemetery. In 1999 Graceland Cemetery offered to purchase the cemetery from Richard E. Lewis. The city was in support of the purchase as they did not want the cemetery to fall into disarray.
